JD: It’s the Holocaust that took place during World War II when Adolf Hitler and his nazis were trying to rid the entire world of the Jewish people. Throughout history of the Jewish people there’s been other times when they were killed slaughtered in fact but we’re referring now to World War II. It was a terrible time wasn’t it Winkie?
WM: It was a terrible time because, and now I’m talking basically as a Zionist Jimmy, we had no where to go, no where. There was a conference in 1938 to decide which countries would take refugees. A few thousand manage to get into England, hundreds literally hundreds only got into the United States. Then the British gave us the emphasis light paper thirty-nine, which limited immigration to fifteen thousand Jews a year in Palestine which wasn’t even fulfilled by the end of the five year period.
